(Note: You will have to go down to the calender in the right-hand corner of the screen in order to search for the stories. Also, please know that you may have to scroll down or up in order to find your desired tale. I used to have links of the stories up, but since Xanga HTML is mean to other HTML, I had to get rid of the links. I'm sorry for the imperfection and annoyance. ) If you would like for me to add some of your stories, please contact me here. But before you do, there are a few things you need to take care of.
First, I need for you to go through your story and make some last minute adjustments. Check your spelling, grammar, etc. (You don't want it to be difficult to read, do you?) Next, please let me know what the title, genre, rating (G, PG, PG-13, R) of your story, a short summary, and if you would like for me to allow for others to comment on your story, along with contact you. Notice: Include a disclaimer if your story is a FanFic, Parody/Spoof, or you did not make up a certain character. And finally, in the e-mail, it would help me if you would mark where your story starts and ends, including how many chapters there are. If you have an image that is essential (and safe for all to view) to your story, please send it to me as well. When sending your story to me through e-mail, please refrain from making it an attachment. If you need to make the picture an attachment, fine. But that is all I will accept.
About 99% of the time, I will post your story, even if I think it is not your best work. Some people will be nice about it, for example, like myself. However, some may say what others are thinking. Just keep this in mind and do not hold it against me. So, if you cannot take contructive criticism, let me know to turn off the comments.
Example:
Dear oXXFrozenVeinsXXo,
Hi!! My story is called Butterscotch Love, by Susie McSuzie. The genre is realistic fiction. Um, let's see... I don't want to be contacted! Oh, I have a disclaimer, because I have some characters that are original. Disclaimer: I do not own Spongebob and Barney. They're owned by [some company name here]. Anyway, my story is rated R for lots of curses and some violence. People can comment on my story, though, that's fine. Here's my story:
--- Once upon a time, Spongebob met Barney. They became friends. Blah, blah, blah, etc. etc. ---
Love, Miss Susie McSuzie I only have a few things I need to ask you not to do. - Please, do not send me stories with romance rated over PG-13. No one wants to read about how Mary Ann and Davy do "dirty" things on the weekend. Besides, it may offend some. OT3, rape (unless it involves a story of a victim (preferably to help others cope)--but absolutely no details of the attack), and slash falls into this rule as well. I am not saying stories with those who are affectionate towards the same gender is not allowed, but it will offend many if you write an explicit story about Billy Jo and Ken getting close. (If you cannot decide whether something is appropriate or not, contact me privately.) If you send me a chapter that seems a tad inappropriate, I may edit it. Please, do not be offended if this happens to you.
- Constructive criticism is allowed, but please be polite. I do not want to have to turn off the comments, because some jerk was abusing the power.
And if you do receive bad reviews, do not stalk the person and bother them. (If you do, your story will be removed.) Come to me first. - If for any reason, you would like to be remained "anonymous", you need a good reason. You should never be embarrassed about your story.
- Do not panic, this is not a contest site. However, once a month, I may feature a story with the most awards. This is the only time there will be a "contest", and even then, it is hardly one.
If you see that any of these regulations are being broken, please let me know. You can either leave a comment in this entry, or contact me via e-mail. Not all of these stories are mine. All of them belong to someone, however. I just wanted to clear this up. | | |
| A Letter to My Boyfriend, by Bunny
Genre: Nonfiction Rating: PG Summary: I wanted to remind my beloved how much I care about him, so I decided to handwrite a letter to him--spelling, grammatical errors, and all. *~*~* To Nick, First of all, allow me to remind you how much I love you. And stop worrying--this letter isn't a bad one! It's all good. I just want to let you know how wonderful you are with one of the few ways I know how to express myself: through writing. It's hard for me to be so honest and open with the opposite gender. I've heard countless horror stories and because of it, my heart is calloused and hard. But you have made me realize that not every male out there abuses, hurts, and uses females. You're one-of-a-kind, though: never have I met a man as sweet, generous, and gentle as you. You absolutely amaze me. Sometimes, I feel like your beauty overshadows mine. I'm so proud of you and it has been a blessing to know you. You're like my little trophy boyfriend! You are probably the funniest person I know. Every time I'm with you, I laugh even if I don't want to. I'm probably going to live forever, thanks to you. I can't decide if that's a good thing or bad thing yet.... It would only be worth it if I could spend most of that time with you. I would never want to pressure you into anything. I only want what is best for you, even if it excludes myself. Sometimes, I feel like I don't express this nearly enough; I may strap a collar on you time-to-time and call you my property, but I want you to know that you have not nor will be trapped with me if it makes you unhappy. I'm only here to take care of you as long as you let me. And no matter what decision you make in the end, please know that I appreciated, loved, and cherished you throughout our entire relationship. I can only say this now because I'm calm and I want you to know the truth--just in case. Thank you for being so patient with me. I know your temper is short at times, but what amazes me is how you're able to keep it together around me when we're fighting. I wish I had your strength. I really admire you, Nick. And above all else, thank you for choosing me. You're my perfect guy! You are pretty damn especial. I don't always think I deserve you, though. Sometimes, my eyes just tear up when I think about it. I can only guess that I'm doing something right for you to have taken care of me thus far. And I've come to realize that yes...I could go on without you, but I wouldn't want to. I do want to be with you for as long as I can. You give me a spark of hope, my dear, and that's more than I could ask for. So thank you for being so wonderful. I now know God is listening to me. On that night, the night I didn't know if I could survive, I prayed for an angel to help me. Two weeks later, you swept me off my feet. However long God intented for us to be together, I hope and pray it's for a long while. Stay beautiful, my dear.
Love, now and forever, your little bunny, [Bunny] | | |
| Today Is A Good Day, by Bunny
Genre: Poetry Rating: G Summary: I have a really silly story about how this poem started. I was feeling sick, so I began to inhale Vicks VapoRub; I guess the fumes got to me, because I began to feel really happy; or, maybe I was just relieved I was feeling better. Basically, this poem is about how I feel some times, and what I would consider a good day.
*~*~*
I feel beautiful today
Like the sweeping sense that everything is all right really makes everything all right
Like every word I write is as serene as an angel’s tune
Like every breath I take makes me worth fighting for Like nothing traumatic is in the horizon
Like a bird ready to take flight Or an angel spreading her wings
I feel beautiful today And today is a good day | | |
| Insanity, by Bunny
Genre: Poetry Rating: PG Summary: This poem was later added to a school assignment. The poem is about the brother of the deceased kin beginning to lose his mind, and feel a large amount of grief. Disclaimer: I didn't give James Hursts pointers when he wrote The Scarlet Ibis...
*~*~*
Sometimes I see you, and sometimes I feel you. My broken brother... always watching my moves; just waiting to see what I come up with next. I cannot describe the face of the coffin they placed you in. So grim. So plain. The coffin face replaced yours in my dreams. | | |
